Long overdue update (sorry!)
7 April, 2007, 07:40 pm in "Misc."
In response to everyone that has asked me if I took their email address off the list, the answer is no - I've just been lazy. It has been too long since I posted the last blog and even longer since I posted Lola pictures, and I'm so sorry. Things just got a little crazy for everyone in this family while I was studying for the bar (thanks Mom & Hal for helping out) and I've been playing catch-up ever since.
At any rate, this video was from last weekend, after "Aunt" Alyssa took us to Lola's first Easter Egg Hunt with Suzi and Shannon and their boys. She can say some words, or at least her version of some words (mom, dad, dog, cat, bird, etc.). She can also play the "what's a ____ say" game, when she wants to...
What really amazes me is how much she understands... The other day, for example, she was trying to sit in her chair, but the chair wasn't cooperating (it kept scooting backwards), so I told her to "bring your chair in here" -- and the next thing I knew she was putting the chair down on the floor in front of me! She did the same thing when she was picking a book from her bookshelf and I told her to bring me the blue book! However, she has never tried to say either chair or blue (she has her own word for book).
Physically, she has 5 teeth & has fully transitioned to eating "big people" food. She's trying to learn how to use a spoon. She all of a sudden has a lot of hair - blonde and curly! And I think the last time she went to the pediatrician for her 1-year-old check-up, she weighed almost 23 pounds. I'm sure I've left something out, but I can't think of anything else right now.
For those of you that are interested, I'll post the pictures of the last 3 months as soon as I have re-sized them all (if I don't downsize, they will never upload).
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!
Lola is an amazing child and we had so much fun at our first Easter Egg hunt....
Very cute!
They just won't do tricks when you want them to, huh? Very good improve on the "horse sound". I think that Lola and Tru would have lots of fun together. We are going to be in town soon to help my mom move. We should see if they want to play.
We would love for them to play together... they would have so much fun! Just let us know when you'll be here & we'll get together - if you have time we can go to the zoo or something.
